The Genealogy Project notes that Barrow was not Newton’s formal advisor (Benjamin Pulleyn was his tutor) and that Barrow learned mathematics from Viviani in Florence after his Cambridge degree. Cayley’s year is his Cambridge B.A.; the Genealogy Project records only his later honorary doctorates.
